They prospered, reaching a peak of wealth and power few could have foreseen in their early dark days. Then, on one day in the far future, it mysteriously ended. Billions of citizens simply vanished, across the range of human space. Some of the most prominent worlds disappeared entirely. The Imperial power structure was smashed, and old clan rivalries have resurfaced. Xenophobia is rising and newly-discovered alien species are suspect. Will we overcome or be overrun?
